We aim for WCAG 2.2 AA. Below: what has been tested so far, and the limitations that remain.
Tests done
How we test
- Automated checks with axe on every page, in light and dark mode, and in every state of the menu, the form, the image viewer and the floor-plan tools.
- Keyboard-only runs through the navigation, the menu, the language menu, the form, the image viewer and the floor-plan tools; every control shows a visible focus ring.
- Layout and controls checked in Chrome and Firefox at desktop, tablet and phone widths.
Automated checks find only some problems. A full manual test with screen readers, and testing in Safari, have not been done yet.

What the site does for accessibility
- Every page has a “Skip to content” link; every image has alternative text, and floor plans also have a written description.
- The footer has a “Reduce motion” switch, and the site also follows your system’s reduced-motion setting.
- Maps are decorative: everything a map shows is also written on the page.
- Text and background colours meet WCAG AA contrast, in dark mode too.
Known limitations
Where we still fall short
- Dragging and zooming in the floor-plan tools are designed mainly for mouse and touch; measuring and placing work from the keyboard, but take more steps.
- Some source documents, such as government PDFs, are outside our control and may be hard to use with a screen reader.
- Safari and iOS have not been tested yet.
