One line running,
one still on the drawing board.
North-east Kuala Lumpur reaches the city centre on one working LRT line, the Kelana Jaya Line. A second, the MRT Circle Line, is still a proposal. This page sets out the station order, how far the Circle Line has got, and the highways around the area.

The short answer
North-east Kuala Lumpur’s public railway is the LRT Kelana Jaya Line, run by Rapid Rail, a Prasarana subsidiary; its trains are fully automated and driverless. It stops at five stations here: Gombak (KJ1), Taman Melati (KJ2), Wangsa Maju (KJ3), Sri Rampai (KJ4) and Setiawangsa (KJ5), then heads south through KLCC into the city centre. The proposed MRT Circle Line (MRT3) had its final railway scheme approved by the Minister of Transport on 17 July 2025. Its interim station names include Danau Kota, Setapak and Rejang, and construction has not begun.
