The short answer
The Kelana Jaya Line is a fully automated, driverless LRT line run by Rapid Rail, a Prasarana subsidiary. Its stations carry the code KJ, from Gombak (KJ1) to Putra Heights (KJ37). It opened in 1998 and reached Gombak, then called Terminal PUTRA, in 1999. It began life as the PUTRA LRT; Prasarana took it over in 2002 and renamed it. In October 2026, Prasarana said the line carries about 290,000 passengers a day.
